Setting up Ethereum wallet

This is step by step instruction how to set up an Ethereum Wallet and get free test Ether to run on a test network.


Installing MetaMask

MetaMask is a browser extension wallet that runs in your Chrome browser.

Open the Google Chrome browser and navigate to:

https://metamask.io

Now get get registered, set up strong password, and save 12 words, your can use to restore your MetaMask account. Once you are done with a set up process you should see your account details:

Get free test Ether

We need to get some test Ether, first step is to switch to the Test Network - Ropsten.

Now click "Buy", and click "Ropsten Test Faucet". MetaMask will open:

https://faucet.metamask.io

Etherscan

Now you can check your transaction ID on:

https://ropsten.etherscan.io

just copy your transaction TxHash --> ID

0x000d84d951360bb616d2c12678654ff52a3358436749d74046160fa61e4efac7

And check a transaction status:
